Ringwood Nature Recovery – have your say

Globally our natural world is facing serious threats. The global populations of fish, birds, mammals, amphibians and reptiles have declined, on average, by 60% between 1970 and 2014. One million species worldwide are at risk of extinction. Here in the UK, 41% of species have declined and 15% are at risk of extinction.

At a local level, the natural environment around Ringwood has not always been given the consideration it needs and there is a pressing need to redress this balance. Like many other local authorities, Ringwood Town Council is in the process of preparing a Neighbourhood Plan (NP) which will include environmental issues. In preparing this, we want to hear the views of local people about their engagement with the natural environment; the importance they attach to it; and what a Nature Recovery Plan for Ringwood might look like.

We have prepared a short survey which should only take a few minutes to complete. Please take the time to do so – your input is invaluable.
